Booting the computer getting slower? Okey, this time we will try to speed up booting Windows XP by editing the registry. Why can accelerate? Because the trick this time we tried to disable the boot process called defragmentation. Boot process is used by Windows Defragmenter to rearrange files needed by Windows when Booting. Defragmenter, make sure that your files in a disordered state.

To disable it, follow these steps:

1. Go to registry editor, by pressing the start button> Run, then type regedit.

2. Go to the subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Dfrg BootOptimizeFunction

3. In the right pane, find the String Value named [Enable], then double-click
The String Value.

4. Fill in value to N to disable, and fill in value to Y, to activate it again.

Restart your computer to get the desired results.
